Two chocolate smoothie jars on kitchen bench

Chocolate Smoothie (that’ll actually keep you full)

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Units Scale
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup plain rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 banana
  • 0.1 tsp salt (add a pinch)

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz till mixed.

Smoothie’s don’t really keep me full for long. Except this one which I’ve supercharged with filling ingredients so it’ll actually keep you full for several hours. Try it for breakfast and see!
  • Don’t like banana? You can swap it for 1/4 avocado instead.
  • Use whichever milk makes you feel good.
  • Skip the nut butter to make this recipe nut-free.
  • Try quinoa flakes instead of oats to make this recipe certified GF.
  • Prep Time: 3 mins
  • Cook Time: 2 mins
